The City of East Tawas is committed to the health of our residents and employees and is taking precautions to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19.. 
In an effort to keep our Department of Public Works employees safe we as that you please refrain from placing yard waste curbside until May 4th, when regular yard waste collection begins.

In an effort to help reduce the risk of the coronavirus, the East Tawas City Hall, Community Center and Library will be closed under further notice.  City offices will remain open but will be closed to the public. Public meetings are being held via Zoom virtual meetings, each meeting link will be available online through our East Tawas website. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. In keeping with the actions of the State and several Michigan communities to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the East Tawas City Park will be closing the play structures in all of their park systems effective today, April 1, 2020.  The rest of the park areas will still remain open for your use.  Please continue to practice social distancing while enjoying our parks and other open spaces and do your best to remain at least six to ten feet away from others.
