The City of East Tawas is requesting proposals for the removal of trees along W. Washington Street and Wilkinson Street. There are 23 mature red pines to be removed. These trees were reportedly planted by the Michigan Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930’s. They have served the City well and re-use of the wood is encouraged. Proposals are to include stump grinding, debris removal, topsoil, and seed. Bid specifications are available by clicking here or at City Hall. Sealed proposals are to be submitted to the East Tawas City Hall, 760 Newman Street, before Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 4:00 pm.  The City of East Tawas has a local preference policy and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, whichever is deemed in the best interest of the City.
