The Operational Millage proposal is a renewal to continue collecting the existing 18 mills established in 1994 to fund the school. This millage is assessed on non-homestead properties, i.e. most commercial, industrial, rental or vacation properties. This tax WILL NOT be assessed on a homeowner's primary residence.
The funds received support 32% of the district's operational budget to pay for day to day operations such as textbooks, classroom supplies, utilities, transportation, teachers and other staff necessary for the school to function property.
