The City of East Tawas welcomes our new Chief of Police, Frank Anthony. His service began on January 25, 2021 and has already been a great asset to our team. We look forward to his leadership and a long relationship with our City.

Frank and his wife Michelle have been married twenty-one years and moved to Hale in 2003 where they enjoy their wooded property and horses.

Frank joined the Marine Corps after high school where he worked on F-18 fighter aircraft and received an honorable discharge. After several years in Logistics Management, he went back to college and earned a degree in criminal justice before going to the police academy in 2005.

Upon graduation, he was hired by Richfield Township in Roscommon County where he spent the last fifteen years.

In 2016 he was appointed Chief of Police and spent the next four years in that position. He is a recent graduate of the National Command & Staff College. Chief Anthony is also a firefighter and EMT and has joined the East Tawas Fire Department.
