CHIEF OF POLICE FRANK ANTHONY began working for East Tawas Police Department in January of 2021. He previously served as Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police for Richfield Township with years of service in Police, Fire, and EMS operations and administration. Chief Anthony is also a graduate of the National Staff and Command College for Criminal Justice Administration and the MACP Police Executives School. He is a Marine Corps Veteran as well as an EMT and Firefighter serving on East Tawas Fire Department with Fire Officer III certification. EMAIL

OFFICER DAKOTA GRISE began serving our community in May 2022, as a full-time police officer and firefighter. He brings with him his valuable experience in the Army Reserves Military Police. Officer Grise served in support of the Afghanistan evacuation, functioning as base security, routine patrols, investigations, and community policing for base personnel, U.S. citizens, and Afghan refugees. He is our firearms and taser instructor and the department Field Training Officer. He is a great addition to our team. 

OFFICER WAYNE SNYDER began serving our community as a police officer and firefighter in June of 2021. He is a Marine Corps and Army veteran and retired from a full-time career as Firefighter/Paramedic. Officer Snyder’s vast emergency services experience is a great asset and fills a valuable role within our department. 

OFFICER DAN KLUKOWSKI began serving our community in March of 2022 as a police officer and firefighter. He is a former Alcona County Deputy and is the Harrisville Fire Chief. Community Policing comes naturally to Officer Klukowski, and he is excited to join our team.
