Water Quality Report
The City of East Tawas is part of an authority - Huron Shore Regional Utility Authority - which provides water treatment services to East Tawas, Tawas City, Baldwin Township, AuSable Township, and Oscoda Township. Every year the staff of HSRUA provides us with an Annual Drinking Water Quality Report that is designed to inform our residents about the quality of water services they deliver to you every day. Their goal is to provide you with a safe and dependable supply of drinking water and they want you to understand the efforts they make to continually improve the water treatment process and protect our water resources.

There is a drop box available for checks or money orders, located in the north parking lot.
ACH (Automated) Payment:
East Tawas property taxpayers have the opportunity to have their tax payments directly deducted from their checking or savings accounts. We have teamed up with Huron Community Bank to add this convenience to your payment options. (You do not need to have an account at Huron Community Bank to participate in this program.) If you’re interested in this free service, please complete this form and either mail it to or drop it off at City Hall with a voided check. Credit or Debit Card:
Payment by credit card or debit card is available for a fee online. You can also make a payment by calling (800) 487-4567. You will need the jurisdiction code for East Tawas, which is 7078.
